Entering the championship game from the losers bracket the Maryland Eastern Shore Lady Hawks found themselves on the brink of elimination in the seventh game of the best four of seven in Baker match play with defending MEAC Bowling champion Delaware State Lady Hornets where in-order to remain in contention for the championship UMES anchor bowler Maria Rodriguez, MEAC Player of the Year, bowled three strikes in the last frame of the game to deal Delaware State a 206 to 205 pins defeat forcing a tie breaker in the double elevation tournament. |
